More Exquisite Beast fanart! I evolved it from this guy below, who was kind of a floating ocean skimmer.  My beast spends the entirety of its life in high in the sky now, its hind limbs have shortened to become stabilizers, and its front paddles have become larger wings. The biggest change, however, is that this beast harnesses lightning in the atmosphere to hunt or ward off predators by directing electricity down its long lower jaw. The spines that hold together the balloon have extended over the upper body and head to function as an organic Faraday cage, protecting its brain and other organs from getting fried.
