Do you love cats? Do you hate cats? Either way, Hacky Cat is for you!

My good pal Ken Wong quit his salary job last year and made this awesome game which came out today. You must keep one, or multiple cats from hitting the ground and exploding. It sounds simple but it’s quite difficult, while remaining fun and hilarious. The art is wonderful as well.

You can see a video of it here, and you can pick it up on the app store for a whopping $.99.

DOUBLE FINE ADVENTURE

You guys.  This is an unbelievable thing.

Overnight, through Kickstarter, the fans of Double Fine Productions have exceeded the goal for funding the next amazing game.  I cannot believe how wonderful the fans have been to Double Fine through the years.  It makes tears happen on my face. I am proud to have been a part of the Double Fine family all these years.

This particular project is rules, you guys.  Because it is getting back to the adventure game roots!  But also, it involves YOU the COMMUNITY! Watch the video for it to see what i mean.  Backers are involved in the process and the documentary they are making along the way will shed light on the awesome process that goes into making a game.  Oh, man, this is going to be the best.

so anyway, the higher it goes over the goal means the more platforms it will be for and the better the game will be. So you can still be a part of it, if you want.

Thank you, everyone, who has ever supported Double Fine through these years.  You are great people.

this will seriously rule, you guys.  damn.

love, scott c.

RECAP: A Kickstarter page goes up requesting $400,000 with 33 days to raise the money. Money is raised within the first 9 hours. In a few hours it will reach $800,000 and possibly keep going all 33 days until it is an obscene amount of money.

Big name game companies must be shitting their khaki pants right now

I LOVE THIS!!!!

I haven’t donated and haven’t played much of their games, but I’m following their progress with great interest!

The video for the project is adorable, and I can’t believe they’re nearing a MILLION dollars after just 2 days! It’s really amazing and heartwarming so if you didn’t hear about this yet, look at these amazing fellas and see if you want to join in.

I wish I was a millionaire so I could throw my money at people for them to do the things I like.

Samorost

I found this little point-and-click game earlier and fell in love with it instantly.
The graphics are a bit similar to Machinarium, but without all the clunky machinery, and the soundtrack sounds like something out of an old jazz lounge.

It’s all browser-based and I definitely recommend that everyone check it out.
